Media Literacy Training For Nonprofits
At Big Picture Media, we believe storytelling is a skill worth sharing — not just a service we provide. In today's digital-first funding landscape, an organization's ability to fundraise and build awareness often hinges on how effectively it can tell its own story. Our media literacy training equips nonprofit leaders, community advocates, and grassroots organizers with the tools to do exactly that: filming and editing, public speaking, and press readiness. These skills help leaders frame their work for funders, journalists, and government officials — ensuring their message keeps reaching supporters long after a campaign or project ends.
This training is rooted in our own experience producing fundraising content and advocacy films across Latin America and Africa, and in our team's background in international development policy. We've seen firsthand how a well-told story can be the difference between a grant application that gets funded and one that doesn't, or a cause that gains traction and one that goes unnoticed. Whether we're working with a single community leader preparing to speak in front of potential donors, or an entire nonprofit team building out their content strategy, our goal is the same: to equip organizers with the skills they need to advocate effectively in online landscapes.
